I’m so confused about that please help me.
Thanks in advance.
Up to 250 grams of C have been given by IV without harm.
The only negative effect of too much C is loose bowels, or "bowel tolerance". Most people can take 4 grams without reaching bowel tolerance, unless you are sick, in which case it takes more to reach bowel tolerance.
Two time Nobel winner Linus Pauling took 17 grams per day for 20 years, and died at 93.
From the Wiki…
Vitamin C exhibits remarkably low toxicity. For example, in the rat, the LD50 (the dose that will kill 50% of a population ) has been reported as 11900 mg kg-1. For a 70 kg human, this means that 833,000 mg of vitamin C would need to be ingested to stand a 50% chance of killing the person. However, vitamin C could not result in death when administered orally as large amounts of the vitamin cause diarrhea and are not absorbed. An extremely large amount of vitamin C would need to be rapidly injected by IV to stand any chance of killing a person. Robert Cathcart, MD, has used intravenous doses of vitamin C of 250 grams and reports that he has had no problems
Eat as much garlic as you want.
not sure but i think you allowed up to 600Mg a day you might want to go to WebMd they are good with all that as in garlic cloves you can eat that stuff like candy
Garlic cloves, a minimum of 2. Vitamin C is water soluble vitamin. When the body does not need more Vitamin C, it goes out in the urine. If you have loose bowel movement after you take Vitamin C in one day, you have the maximum dosage the body can tolerated. If you have a flu, dosage of Vitamin C can go higher than that.
I believe in Linus Pauling who did a research of Vitamin C, although people are skeptical about him. For me, I believe his work.
I cannot tell you the right dosage of Vitamin C (it is a very controversial subject in alternative medicine). I do practice alternative medicine, but I can tell you one thing, don’t take this vitamin c with this ingredient, high fructose corn syrup.
Yes, you can, assuming the Vit C comes from natural sources. If it’s synthetic, then, probably still yes. As to how much Vit C to take, you have to work that out for yourself; everyone has different needs–requirements–for each of the vitamins and minerals. The MDAR (minimum daily adult requirement) put out by the government is just that–the minimum. And it applies only to Mr and Mrs Average Adult. How many of us are? Another hint: take Vit C daily. It will raise your resistance to colds and some other ills. Then if you do get sick just increase your intake, double would be a safe bet, until you’re better.
You can take as much vitamin C as you want because your body will just get rid of what you don’t need. As for garlic, be careful, you will want to make sure that you aren’t allergic to it first. Good luck.
